The Memorial was dedicated on the fifth anniversary of 9/11, in a ceremony attended by President Bill Clinton, Secretary of the Department of Homeland Security Michael Chertoff, Governor Jon Corzine, Senator Frank Lautenberg, Senator Robert Menendez and family members of World Trade Center victims. Grammy award winner, Leann Rimes, sang the National Anthem.

The "Teardrop" memorial is real and is a 100-foot September 11th sculpture that was donated by the Russian people and is located in Bayonne New Jersey.

The monument comprises a 100-foot-tall bronze tower with a jagged split down the middle and a 40-foot-long stainless steel teardrop suspended in the gap. It stands on an 11-sided slab of black marble carved with the names of every person who died in the September 11 attack, as well as the victims of the 1993 World Trade Center bombing. The brightly lit memorial is visible even at night from the Statue of Liberty, Battery Park, the Staten Island Ferry, and other locations around the Hudson River.

The hilariously insightful and long-running Broadway comedy that pokes fun at the ways men and women relate to each other! Defending the Caveman discusses the never-ending battle for understanding between the sexes, mining the common themes in relationships that go straight to the funny bone. Mature audiences only

Background:
Defending the Caveman holds the record as the longest running solo play in Broadway history. Caveman is also now a worldwide rock-solid tour de force that has won the hearts of millions in over 30 countries, and it’s sure to win yours.

The “outrageously funny and surprisingly sweet exploration of the gender gap” (Chicago Sun Times) has made Defending the Caveman “a comic phenomenon.” (New York Times)

A hilariously insightful play about the ways men and women relate, Caveman has both sexes roaring with laughter and recognition.  Affectionate nudging between audience members occurs during the performance as they recognize themselves in the stories being told on stage.

Caveman makes us laugh at ourselves about all the ways men and women fight, laugh and love. Couples all across America are in love with Defending the Caveman.
