Morristown Craft Fair
Morristown Craft Fair

This is a really first Class Craft Fair in Morristown...a little pricey, but high class stuff. Maybe pick up a few Christmas presents, assuming you have qualified for Tarp Funds from the Gov't.

Given the Probable weather this  might be a good option for Sat morning or afternoon, or even Sunday if you are staying till Monday. Sitting in the rain at a Football game might be more excitement than you want!

We go twice a year and the quality is first rate
Speak w Betsy or Virginia O'Donnell

Of course NY is another option if you can get some Two-fers for a Matinee on Sat or Sunday, like Marshall and Deegie going to see Billy Eliott!!

See what some others want to do in case

Mountain Lakes High School is a 9th through 12th grade school that serves the communities of Mountain Lakes and Boonton Township. The school enjoys an excellent reputation and also supports the enrollment of approximately 40 hearing impaired students who travel from all over the state to attend Mountain Lakes High School.

Our comprehensive academic program is highlighted by over 50% of our seniors being enrolled in Advanced Placement classes. An overwhelming majority of students exceed basic requirements by taking four years of math and science.

The excellence of Mountain Lakes High School evolves from a conducive atmosphere and a dedicated, caring faculty that maintains high expectations for all students. Over 70% of our student body maintain a 3.0 average or above and 35% were inducted into the National Honor Society. Traditionally, approximately 95% of the graduating class will attend four-year colleges.

In order to prepare the students for a successful life in a global society, school goals encompass the skills of technology, communications, collaboration, and higher order thinking. As these transcend the specific goals of any single discipline, they are an integral part of all curricular areas. The communication skills learned in the English classes are stressed across the curriculum with all courses requiring students to read, write and speak with clarity. Incisive analytical listening and viewing skills, integral elements of the Language Arts Literacy Standards, are developed in all content areas.

Extra-curricular participation and success are also hallmarks of Mountain Lakes High School. Ninety-four percent of the student body was involved in at least one extra-curricular activity. Students have 50 clubs and 23 athletic programs to choose from. The excellence of the school is also demonstrated in this area. Of our 23 varsity teams, 14 had winning records. The varsity teams combined had a 245-195-7 win/loss record. Six of the varsity teams won a conference, county, or state championship. There is also a heavy emphasis on the "arts". Two major drama productions, winter and spring, Festival of the Arts, 12 issues of the student newspaper, a literary magazine, and five concerts give students an opportunity to expand their horizon in the creative areas as well.

The specialization of this high performance school is its promotion of exceptional academic achievement in its students by providing a world class education which challenges every student to develop the skills needed for success in a global society.

Read at your own Peril (Come on, you know you are going to):

A psychiatrist was  conducting a group therapy session with four young  mothers and

 their small children.

"You all have obsessions," he observed.

To the first mother, Mary, he said, "You are obsessed with eating.

You've even named your daughter Candy."

He turned to the second Mom, Ann: "Your obsession is with money.

Again, it manifests itself in your child's name, Penny."

He turned to the third Mom, Joyce: "Your obsession is alcohol.

This too shows itself in your child's name, Brandy."

At this point, the fourth mother, Kathy , quietly got up, took her

little boy by the hand, and whispered, "Come on, Dick, this guy has no

idea  what he's talking about. Let's pick up Peter and Willy from school and

 go get dinner.
